In his Speech, the MD of NICA Global Resources, Mr Ahmed Adekunle reminded the audience that the scheme was another fruitful product of the Public private Partnership business model actively being engaged in by the current government. He called on all Nigerians to see this as a direct victory for the agricultural sector, admonishing all stakeholders to put their best foot forward in attending to their roles and responsibility in the implementation of the scheme with integrity, hard work, focus and financial discipline.
NICA Global Resources is one of the Sixteen (16) pioneering vendors considered for participation and the implementation of the first phase of the Tractor Hiring Service Delivery (THSD) programme. The THSD Program is a Public Private Partnership based arrangement that sees the Government partnering with the private sector to provide agricultural equipments (Tractor + Implements) to cooperative farmer groups on a lease arrangement. These Cooperative farmer groups will then hire these tractors and implements out to their members, smaller farmer units and individual farmers in the vicinity of the benefiting cooperatives. |
