Monday, 3rd of August 2009 witnessed the consummation of another multi-million dollar business Marriage between Nigeria and China.

Total responsibilities awarded to NICA in the referred Contract amounted to about $10 Million Dollars.

NICA’s work extends the shores of Nigeria. Her dream to upgrade the position of agriculture in economic development has taken her to Senegal where they were instrumental to a similar Tractor acquisition scheme under the supervision of the Senegalese president.

FOTON Lovol, having Monitored NICA Global Resources has identified NICA as the path to tow in their bid to go global. The partnership between the two companies will see FOTON Lovol Setting up a state of the Art tractor assembling and implement fabrication plant in Nigeria, under the Supervision of NICA Global resources. This is to go along with the supply of over 5000 units of tractors and implements over a period of 5 Years.

FOTON LOVOL’s Partnership with NICA opens the Nigerian Market to a wide array of high quality of Agricultural machineries. From a strategic perspective, its timing is appropriate, considering the Federal Governments initiative to upgrade agriculture in the country using mechanization as a tool, as well as the varied infrastructural developmental projects currently being embarked on by the Government.

The Event had in attendance, amongst others, the Vice Governor of the Shandong Province of China, Representing the Chinese Government, the vice President of FOTON LOVOL and 50 other Chinese delegates. The Ministers of Agriculture and Water Resources and the Minister of State for the FCT graced the event as well. Other Dignitaries include Alh Bamanga Tukur (Chairman, Africa Business Round Table), Chief Audu Ogbeh, OFR (Former Honourary Presidential Adviser on Agriculture and Food Security, and Former PDP National Chairman), The Senate and House Comitte Chairmen on Agriculture.
